Clermont didn't deserve to win that. Too many mistakes and no spark from Laidlaw and Lopez. Relying on Laidlaw to kick penalties is at the expense of any speed or surprise in the backline.

Agreed. Toulouse were the better side. Clermont didn’t look like scoring a try.

Toulose were certainly the better side. Cheslin Kolbe was brilliant in the air. Same height as Lowry. Lopez was very poor.

Biarritz back in Top 14, beat Bayonne 6-5 on penalties after play-off finished 6-6 after extra time.

Cheslin Kolbe has joined Toulon from Toulouse. He was under contract till summer 2023, but Toulon paid 1.8 Million Euros to buy out his deal and are paying him 1 Million Euros/season. Will join up with squad in December after the Autumn Internationals.
