I think +42 was exactly what they needed in the end for the home barrage, but with the beauty of simultaneous kickoffs, not even the bookies would have known that.

Castres 24-18 Toulouse in 1st Semi Final tonight.
Was like old skool French rugby v modern French rugby. Old skool won.

One way traffic in final, Montpellier 23-3 up. Don't think Castres actually left the changing room in that 1st half.

Defence is good. I suppose, but both sides are happy to make the tackle and regroup. Very few rucks.

Went mammaries up at Brive at the weekend.
A thrashing by Toulouse, a couple of wayward passes from Olding and Davidson sacked.

Beat 7-45, the 47-0 defeat at Toulon the week before didn't help. 2 wins from 7 in 12th place.
La Rochelle beat Toulon 32-5 at the weekend and are 2nd.

Dan Biggar has joined Toulon for rest of season from Saints (his contract there is up in the Summer).
