The angry lady is on her way and by all accounts she is promising to give us a serious telling off for our sins. She is due to arrive about 6am to Kerry and we expect her to visit Limerick about 8am.

All the schools have to remain closed tomorrow and some other state authorities, annoyed that the teachers were getting an extra days leave, have decided to also shut up shop for the day. No such luck for those of us who work in the productive sector of course. I'll just have to battle my way though the howling wind and driving rain and hope to arrive to my workplace in one piece. Tis times likes this I wished I was living in a socialist state. :D

Schools are closed up here too. Better to be safe than sorry. Any non-essential workplaces should close.

Tis the end I tells ya. By all accounts even dear old Jesus has a team on standby to deal with all the extra prayerful requests which will be made over the next 24 hours or so.

Safest place on the island is Ravenhill. It has its own microclimate don't you know.

Also there is ample evidence that defences are extremely solid there.

Just got a message from work - Work from home tomorrow if possible. So that gives me an extra 45 minutes bedtime in the morning before logging in to do a hard day's work. :D :D

All maternity hospitals closed tomorrow.

Women are to do what they should have done in the first place...keep their legs closed.

The explanation for the strange behaviour of birds appears to be that they can hear infrasound from distant storms up to ~1000km away
