Robert Hoffman. Think of long school summer holidays and the brilliant b & w version of Robinson Crusoe.

Olivia Newton-John. Hands up all those who fell in love with her, ... well, lusted after her, in the late 70s.

You wanted to get "Physical"? :D

Country Roads have taken her home! :(

Or was it a Neutron Bomb?

I have a couple of her albums in the car and would still listen to them from time to time. Must admit, while I enjoyed the film Grease, and have seen a couple of stage shows of same, the music from grease wouldn't be my favourite by her.

She was a Country Singer in a Stage Show in Grease singing storyline songs .

Better at Denver and Dylan singing a Sixties /Seventies songbook.

I wouldn't class her as a "country singer". She sang country songs when she was younger but her voice was more suited to the easy listening/soft rock genres imo.

The Queen is dead

Long live the King

Will have to get used to the change in words when they sing his song.

Long live the 73 yo King!

You've been waiting a while to say that.

This week's fixtures have to be in doubt.

Whatever we think of the monarchy as an institution, she was a very impressive woman. Her understanding of her role as a servant of the people is something that many others could learn from.

Absolutely - I have/had the utmost respect for her as a person. I doubt we'll ever see her like again. :salut:

Hear hear.

I had the honour of exchanging a couple of sentences with the Queen in 1990.

RIP Ma’am.
