I would suggest that most would have the advantage of being "fine men" by comparison.BaggyTrousers wrote: Both had the advantage over BOD of not only being massively talented but fine men into the bargain.
Jack massively so,
Mike Gibson was one of two boyhood heroes of mine (the other being Fergus Slattery), but I would not put him in the same league of "fine men" as Jack.

I haven’t watched it on TV, but I thought he was hit late and it looked bad. I hope he’s ok and I have to agree it’s way too soon to be making comparisons with legends.

Well said. Although he could be compared favourably to Kyle.....Mccall.Tender wrote:I haven’t watched it on TV, but I thought he was hit late and it looked bad. I hope he’s ok and I have to agree it’s way too soon to be making comparisons with legends.

I think he got hit by an opponent's knee just above his own.. Very painful. He didn't twist anything and had made a tackle when it happened. Bruising only hopefullyDave wrote:Did the pitch claim another knee?

Grumpy, though only by my implication the fact that Youmake a clearly defined difference between those two fine Ulstermen, can you put my mind at ease by confirmly that you do so simply because Jack is like a pradisant saint, rather than something distasteful that I’m unaware of about Gibby.
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

Jack Kyle was a lovely humble gentleman who had time for everyoneBaggyTrousers wrote:Grumpy, though only by my implication the fact that Youmake a clearly defined difference between those two fine Ulstermen, can you put my mind at ease by confirmly that you do so simply because Jack is like a pradisant saint, rather than something distasteful that I’m unaware of about Gibby.
Mike Gibson whilst well mannered could be a bit grumpy
Both legends around the world, if Wee M can get anywhere near that, all power to him.
