Essential site maintenance
Sorry folks for the error-strewn messages lately. The webhosts decided to upgrade the previous version of php database software on all their servers to the latest version... which messed up the site's core software as it wasn't compatible with the original forum's code.
The upshot is, the whole forum will need upgrading soon to make sure that the latest php version can be used.
This will be a BIG job, as the new version of the forum software is NOT compatible with the older version of the board, and it will mean a completly new (basic) look and feel although with a lot of added functionality.
So... if I upgrade the board, the style WILL change. And if I go ahead and make the upgrades, please bear with me as I have not got as much time to make the changes, and it will take time.

well, so far it's been a bit of a marathon... Not 100% confident it all works. if everyone wants to have a play and let me know if anything is broken I would appreciate it.

NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.
