Two rounds of fixtures v countries from the same nation in August then semis and final in early Sep. 2 points for all unfulfilled fixtures.

That would presumably mean Connacht away and Leinster at home in Ulster's case.

Glasgow would be 9 points behind Ulster going into their 2 games v Embra.

No resumption for Ulster until phase 5 of the NI government's plan which MO'N said she hoped would be by December.
Unless of course Ulster relocate from NI to one of the other 3 other Ulster counties for a while.

ROI's roadmap potentially allows sporting events from Aug 10 subject to a crowd limit of 5k.

Ulster essentially being based in another jurisdiction may be an issue.

Time to take back the occupied third of our ancestral homeland. A few matches in Clones could be start of something big. :fleg: :red:

I see 28% of Pro14 is now owned by the private equity people CVC Capital Partners https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/52763372
Any idea what that might mean for the competition? I guess that they must see it as a good investment.

Plans for games at the Aviva on 22 and 23 August which would count towards the Pro 14.

Why would they use Lansdowne Rd for games with no people

I think gatherings of more than 5k are banned in the ROI until September. Maybe they are hoping to have 5000 socially distanced fans in the Aviva?

Probably makes sense to have all the games in one jurisdiction. The results are probably unlikely to influence the semifinals given the current standings.

If those games go ahead on 22/23 August they'll be played behind closed doors. I suspect they want to host them at the Aviva because it's easier for those who have to be there to socially distance compared to other available stadiums.

Pretty sure there's also been talk of the Ulster squad being based somewhere in the Republic if there's going to be issues with quarantining.

There's not much social distancing in rugby set pieces and rucks and mauls. Wonder what the players feel about this?
