One year for Jordi probably fair given the injury profile. Hope he can stay fit.

Thanks Neil, you wonder what kind of contract Doak would have for 4 1/2 years, would it be hugely incentive laden if he was a regular starter for Ulster and Ireland, Lions caps etc. etc. Given his talent and how short a rugby career can be not sure I would have signed up for that long truth be told.

Who was the last player before Doak to get a four year contract with Ulster?

It’ll be performance driven no doubt. It’ll be based on Irish caps and the like by yr 3 or 4 and it’ll probably rise yr on yr.

Not my problem and not my business though. Fair play to the kid to nail down a 4 year pro contract.

Guess we will know soon enough if Cooney is staying. Unless KOTH can give the game away early? :thumleft:

Had a great time a couple yrs ago in the city for the weekend watching PJ play for Perpignan in the old stadium. Cooney & Jalibert would be a hell of a halfback combo. If he does go, all the best, he has been absolutely superb for UR, and carried the team almost single handed on multiple occasions. Would be great if he stayed mind.

As an aside Michael Gove mentioning “ethics and values” is rich coming from a backstabbing tom kite.

Neil Best, Neil McMillan, Paddy Wallace and maybe Roger Wilson in 2004?

Anyone since?
