"BREAKING NEWS

I have been informed by a source whom I trust that Ulster Rugby gave Stuart McCloskey permission to look around for another club to join but then pulled the plug at the last minute"
As for this... God he's beginning to lose the run of himself. Earlier he tweeted

"Haven’t heard @UlsterRugby @JP_Petrie @IrishRugby deny my wee scoop, yet!

Reason: It is also true! Image"

The levels of self gratification in the likes of this are unbelievable. As if JP has interns bringing him tweeted rumours all day everyday and is expected to reply to them. Tagging JP, UR and IR is just wild levels of grandiose narcissism.

I wouldn't be getting too giddy based on rosey-eyed expectations of Flannery coming good, or the fact that our backup 9 is also set to become our back up 10 . . .

Burns has been mediocre at best for 5 seasons.

How would you describe Flannery this season, or any of Doak's cameos at 10?

Mediocre might be better than those two at 10, because we ain't signing anyone.

If Murphy snr can persuade jnr up here, you could build a team for the next decade around him. Unwise move for jnr though.

Burns has a once a year game in which he kick passes several try assists. Outside that it's ropey. He's young though.

I would like to see Flannery or Doak given an extended run in the side. Both will make plenty of errors but some patience will need to be afforded. Who am I kidding, that won't happen

Anyway they are the options available, so get stuffed if you intend to cry about it. Move on, ffs. Orrrrrrrr get Paddy back/sign an NIQ/Murphy jnr.

Looks like there's more change coming in the coaching box at least, also Leinster can FAO cherrypicking the THs from the other provinces why can't they produce their own players? :stir:

Of those leaving only Luke deserves a send off.

Bryn should be out just for the fact he signed Ewers, Addison and Jones.

What happened to EOS, at one point he looked like he could have been involved with Ireland.

Addison has been a waste of a contract, tired of signing IQ journeymen with dodgy injury profiles. Sadly the IRFU system means players like him and Burns are on easy street and can demand more than their market worth because the Irish Provinces need someone who is IQd.

I fear for the academy lads with Jones' departure

See a job advert for a conditioning coach. Perhaps this explains the Shape some players are in. Who is doing this at present?
