Since only the “wing back three “was on the field against Japan I would have thought it was ff n obvious .

Not to sure how the backs will go — Casey looking to star and Carberry thinking he is one .

The back row looks a mobile outfit but has Farrell committed the great mistake — under estimating the opposition . Which places a lot of responsibility on Mcloskey since Carberry has never struck me as a leader the same thing is true of the full back — the most experienced back is Conway out in the wilderness .

Which makes me believe the call at full back is wrong .

Only 164 caps between the entire match day 23! That’s normally about two players’ worth in recent times! Refreshing to see but I would reckon that for a few their total will remain in single digits. - such is the nature of ‘Summer Tour’ international call ups!

At last Farrell has selected a team that is being met with general approval through out the 4 Provinces and which seems to have been picked most of the inform players available.
Now all he has to do is to get his attack coach to either let them play their own game or produce an effective attack plan.
Or might Catt just be keeping the seat warm until Jarred gets a season under his belt at Ulster.

It helps when the players are local.

Listening to Alan Quinlan on Newstalk Radio. He is their 'sports analyst 'covering all sports. He is just after suggesting that Garth Southgate is not sure of his best 15 to put out on the pitch!!!
