Maybe they think we're going to get humped in France?
Volunteer at an animal sanctuary; it will fill you with joy , despair, but most of all love, unconditional love of the animals.

Don't think the casual punter is aware of whats happening.

HEC format is non intuitive. (I mean it's more intuitive than the URC, but very little in life isn't)

Heading to Toulouse for my first ever Ulster away game, does anyone know any good bars where there will be ulster fans to drink with before the game?

Think the Melting Pot has been a popular spot from previous visits, best check the Facebook pages for the supporters group etc a few days before the Toulouse weekend.

Yes, I vaguely recall watching the cricket from NZ or somewhere in the Melting Pot last time.

Best to avoid the travelling fans though. A strange bunch, on the whole.

Melting Pot were great hosts. But to a degree, I agree with Justin - drinking with the home fans (or just the local inhabitants) is the fun bit.

I would suggest Bar Barrille beside the prison, but as I strongly suspect most of the customers were at least associated with the Russian mafia, it's maybe not the best suggestion at the minute. But definitely ranks amongst the best ever nights in 20-odd years of away trips.

It's an english bar now. Probably worth a visit. I'd avoidthe bogs though.

And avoid the Guinness too.

Apart from it being below average, Guinness are a right shower who jumped on LI's signing of Paddy Jackson to justify their pulling out of the club, even though that decision was made months before they knew Paddy was going to the club.

To then try to jump on a holier than though bandwagon and receive plaudits for their actions, even though it was their products or products very similar that in part contributed to the whole sorry mess (and no I haven't forgotten individual responsibility), I find simply disgusting - a bit like Trevor Brennan's beer . . . allegedly. :pukel:

Must admit, I was in Toulouse the night before we played against Castre (2012 me thinks) and I was shocked how many Ulster fans had packed into Brennan's place even then.

Was talking to some the following day who admitted they had never heard of his set-to with Paddy Bamford.

Does a 'set-to' not require both parties to be participating?

Correct. What happened between Brennan and Bamford did not require both parties to be participating. :thumleft:

It's a shame there wasn't a radical, dedicated to the cause of remembering and reminding Ulster fans.

Lest we forget.

Should this be on the senile thread?

Where did we put that, anyway?
