Of course there is! There's the Continental Shield. Sure isn't that one of the reasons that things were taken from the ERC and given to EPCR - to promote and encourage rugby throughout Europe with the inclusion of a tier 3 competition.

:duh:
Interesting you mention the Continental Shield. The Rugby Europe Super Cup was launched this morning which will basically replace it. 8 club sides from Russia, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Georgia and Israel.

Thanks for the info Neill, strange there is no Romanian team involved, or to a lesser extent German.

Your man Hans Peter Wild than owns Capri Sun was pumping money into German rugby for a while.
In 2007, Herr Wild established the charitable Wild Rugby Academy foundation for promoting rugby in Germany, with the aim of raising German rugby to a world-class level. In addition to promoting youth rugby, Hans-Peter Wild also focused on supporting the national rugby team. In sporting terms, through the support of the Wild Rugby Academy, he managed to bring the men’s national team almost as far as qualification for the Rugby World Cup. However, he terminated his collaboration with the German Rugby Federation in 2017 as he found their organisational structures insufficiently professional to achieve success on an international scale.
Ack did he not know that a minimum requirement of any rugby union is a lack of professionalism

So who do we fancy?

I'm hoping for Northampton and while a french trip seems unlikely, I'd be tempted by the relative simplicity of Paris.

Same, too soon since last at Clermont and it feels like we play Leicester every year a this stage.

Northampton in the pool back in 2011/12 was a great trip, managed to get into the working mans club en route to the stadium.... some craic

The MK QF trip to Northampton was a cracker too. Only Heineken trip where I've had to buy sun cream, and that includes one of the Biarritz trips where I spent several hours lying on the beach. :duh:

If you can make it to Galway I'd highly recommend TB - I would say it would be everyone's favourite away inter pro. Great food, pubs and live music.

Can personally highly recommend the Galway Hooker!

Format not agreed yet, English mucking it up with no relegation. There were 14 sides last year in Challenge Cup pool, with Saracens coming up - now there is 15, need to find presumably a 16th side for 21/22 season to have even number of sides etc.

I guess the covid situation will dictate, depends on the dates as well, now if they'd play in the summer I could have brought some fishing kit with me as well lol.
