SA URC

Looking at the SA matches (allegedly March/Apr 2022).

Playing with the idea 12 days (Cape Town then up to Pretoria/Joburg). My calculations are that the critical break-even-pint is number 170. That is a little disappointing, if I'm honest. 12 days averaging 14/day is probably beyond me at this stage of my life.

However, if I were to compare that trip to the standard long weekend in France, the sums would probably prove very favourable.
Can I come out from behind the sofa yet?

Book yourself into a vineyard / wine farm for a few days :thumleft:

You should be able to catch a few local amateur games also which are to a high standard.

For those thinking of making the trip in the Spring, the Munster Rugby Travel Ireland official tour in a few weeks is two and a half grand (Euros) for nine nights.

Includes quite a lot of stuff and looks decent value.

News of the trip for Easter has finally arrived via Rugby Travel Ireland.

3k Euros each, based on two sharing.

Includes some time in Stellenbosch, which is a nice spot.

The sofa was the best for both games today - at least I could get a pint!
