City of Armagh 32 Old Belvedere 18

Good game in a very nice, sunny setting.

The visitors from Ballsbridge largely bossed the set piece but were troubled throughout by Armagh’s prowess with ball in hand.

I had a phone call from a lad claiming to be from QUB rugby tonight asking for money for the team to help with its aspirations for the future. Anybody else get a call? Anybody know any details of how it is to be used? Seemed legit, but these days, who knows?

They have an upcoming tour to Canada that they are crowd funding 10k for, I would imagine that and all the bursaries they promise school leavers upon signing for them.

First win for a struggling Banbridge at the weekend. Defeated Old Belvedere 18-13 to leave them 4 points off Navan.

And a very good win for Bangor against 2C toppers Skerries.
