Thinking about Belfast to Lyon. Looks easier to get from Lyon to Clermont than from Paris.

The train from Paris is fine.
Think you can fly from Belfast to Lyon on match day and come back on the Wednesday?

That Belfast Lyon flight on match day lands 09:25, game is at 18:30 local. Takes 2 hours drive / 3 hours train to get to Clermont from Lyon, it's doable, but travelling on a match day is a big gamble if you have delays etc.
There were flights Dublin to Lyon, but that schedule has been cut back with COVID etc. Too much paperwork and hassle to travel outside Common Travel Area currently imo.

I’m inclined to agree Neill; I may have made the effort if we’d been playing somewhere new.
I trust you are saving your hard earned for Dave Parade?!

Lyon to CF is bus (or a train in the unlikely event that they are running the weekend that Ulster comes). Presumably you can still do Paris to CF by plane.

Looks like we might be a bit lonely!!!
Any recommendations for bars Fri evening and Sat pre and post match? According to the ticket orifice (sic.) the away allocation is imminent... where is best in the ground?
Any recommendations gratefully received.
All this is, of course, dependent on the cheese munching, garlic smelling, surrender monkeys letting us in!!!

Most would just spend three days in Cafe Pascal which, as plans go, does have its merits.
Other bars are available however.
The ground is excellent and is usually pretty much sold out.
We were allocated tickets high up around the halfway line last time. The time before I got a couple of tickets direct from Clermont, nearer pitch level with the Frenchies.
You can get a decent plate of ham and cheese, plus the best hot wine I’ve had, from just outside the turnstiles.

There’s an Irish pub called The Still which does the job.
I really liked a bar called Delirium Cafe which was pretty lively alright.
Gonna talk myself into going at this rate!

Sadly Covid has got the better of us and we have had to cancel, however, we do have 2x electronic tickets for the match if there are any Ulster supporters still going who don't have any tickets - just give me a DM and they are yours - free to a good home
Will just have to drink red wine, eat cheese and speak in pigeon O Level French all day on Saturday..... at home!!
