Castres are an exciting team....NOT, must be fun being a season ticket holder there. Summed them up when they took the LBP with a chance to win game in theory.

Connacht gave Leicester a better fight than any premiership team have managed this season. They yellow card cost them and their 100% line out faltered. Carty is brilliant at the minute and that was an inch perfect drop goal at the death to score a point.

Reckon our wheels will need to come off on at least one the next 5 games. Looks like it will be the kids to munster again as we need to beat connacht next weekend for euro qualification. 2 big weeks coming up then 2 weeks rest for key players to go to Northampton and clermont at home.

Tigers rotated a few and the youngsters stood up today, Connacht a fine team, knew it would be a tough game.

Anybody know why Castres kicked the ball dead at the end of the match with Munster? Surely having a go might have got them a win? Just being French?

Castres just being Castres, they generally aren't interested in Europe and focus on T14.

Heineken and Challenge Cup Rounds 3 & 4 going ahead. Obviously individual matches may fall to the current situation. Montpellier for example have cases and may not be able to play Leinster next week.

Following dialogue with the leagues and unions, EPCR has been informed that exemptions for what is termed the “pursuit of an economic activity” which have been put in place by the French government will apply to clubs and match officials who are travelling between France and the UK.

European tournaments on brink of more chaos as English clubs set for joint withdrawal from French fixtures if quarantine demands are not removed and Scarlets also reluctant to travel

Clermont v Sale
Bordeaux v Scarlets
La Rochelle v Bath
Biarritz v Newcastle (CC)

May be in doubt as visiting sides to France are currently required to do 48 hours quarantine pre game and anyone testing positive will be required to do 10 days of self isolation.

Update: Understand the seven round 2 postponed fixtures in Champions & Challenge Cups to be recorded as 0-0s with two points allocated to each side. No replays.

French Government have dropped the 48 hour quarantine rule on arrival for those vaccinated travelling from the UK, negative test required pre departure just now less than 24 hours before departure. Comes in on Friday morning. Sale had already indicated they were going to travel Saturday for their game in Clermont in Sunday. Bath play in La Rochelle on Saturday and Scarlets play in Bordeaux on Sunday. Newcastle play in Biarritz on Friday night in Challenge Cup. Players / Coaches must be vaccinated to avoid 10 day quarantine on arrival in France.
