They’re getting their asses well and truly kicked at the minute.

That rescinded red must be really galling for Montpellier

Heineken Cup 2021/22 Other Sides

Post by Columbo »

Well I’m delighted to see the SA sides get royally hoked today - SA fans on twitter put the Welsh in the shade when it comes to whining and crying about being robbed by the ref / TMO / anyone except their own performance

Ironic given that the only genuine cases of hometown officiating that I’ve seen are in SA, with notoriously partial local TMOs!

Toulouse were crazy good in the second half and I can’t wait to see them in Dublin. I have to say I wasn’t quite expecting to see this from Exeter, but mightily impressive so far

How long are they going to keep Kitshoff on for?

The prospect of him and Ewers breaking each other is troubling me.

From an Ulster view point Exeters victory is not good news. It would have been advantageous to have had the Stormers fighting on two fronts rather than just being able to concentrate on the URC.
It will be interesting to see how our South African bretheren react to the two defeats today.
I know that Ulster haven’t covered themselves in glory in Europe but on reflection the season’s results are not too bad.
Our European results could have been better if the management of our travel and grounds had been better managed.
The Heineken Cup was better when it was played in pools.

Glasgow Lions was an entertaining watch.

Toulon v Benetton and Scarlets v Glasgow in Semi Finals.

A Benetton / Scarlets cup win would make life interesting for the likes of Munster and Connacht re H Cup qualification.

On the other hand Munster might fancy their chances after that display.

Just watched that game and was worrying about the same thing. They are two specimens though. They’ll bring some very much needed steel to the pack.
As Ben Kay said, “those two binding on the same side of a scrum is a frightening prospect”.
A pack such as this would be fairly tasty if it can happen:
Kitshoff Herring/Stewart JTA/Moore
Sheridan Henderson
Ewers Timoney Reffell

Disagree - Waterlogged pitches are not conducive to good rugby.
I'm not arguing -
I'm just explaining why I'm right

Stormers are very beatable imo. Sharks are an enigma- capable of so much more, but sum of parts less than their individuals- assume poorly coached?
