Our non-Irish URC partners haven't exactly covered themselves with glory although Weegies may still scrape in with a paltry 5 pts.
3 Irish teams in the Top 6 seeds and 4 in the top 10 is a decent result.

And a Welsh team bottom of the pile in each pool, with only a grace and favour draw for Scarlets giving them two points between them. At least Cardiff did get one win and a total of seven points.

So if we mange to get through toulouse we have either munster or Exeter at kingspan. Correct?

I think Cardiff (and only Welsh) win came from the 28-0 Covid case against Toulouse.solidarity wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 8:21 pm And a Welsh team bottom of the pile in each pool, with only a grace and favour draw for Scarlets giving them two points between them. The Welsh and the Scots teams were so awful that you would wonder how they could offer Ireland a serious game. I know we lost in Cardiff last year but that was due to POM's silly early red card.

Here's a wee calculation. In the two pools I gave 12 points to the team in first place, 11 to the second and so on. The table gives the average number of points for the teams for each country. The Irish are looking pretty good. Sadly, our Celtic cousins haven't done so well.
Country Teams Points Average
Irish 4 42 10.5
English 8 55 6.9
French 8 53 6.6
Scottish 1 4 4
Welsh 3 6 2
Don't know why the table goes odd. Looked ok when I was putting it together.

So the Welsh didn't actually take any points on the field?UlsterNo9 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 8:50 pmI think Cardiff (and only Welsh) win came from the 28-0 Covid case against Toulouse.solidarity wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 8:21 pm And a Welsh team bottom of the pile in each pool, with only a grace and favour draw for Scarlets giving them two points between them. Plenty to look forward to this coming weekend, expect Leinster, Munster and Ulster to win at home by enough to go through. Tigers should also go through along with La Rochelle and Racing winning at home too along with Montpellier, been a while since we flew the flag for Engerland lol. Bristol looking favourites to win at home too to make up the last 8.

It looks like Leinster will visit Welford Road if we both win at the weekend, that'll test us.
Re: Heineken Cup 2021/22 Other Sides
I see some of your fellow supporters aren't happy with Mr Brace from the IRFU being appointed as the referee. They were basically implying on social media that he would do all he could to get Clermont through, as that would mean Leinster probably more than Connacht get a home QF etc.tigerburnie wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 9:54 am It looks like Leinster will visit Welford Road if we both win at the weekend, that'll test us.
Don't worry Ulster have those "fans" also, all clubs do unfortunately.
Re: Heineken Cup 2021/22 Other Sides
Season over for Tolu Latu of Stade Francais after his red card v Racing 92, 11 game ban. Repeat offender - 2 x Red Cards and 6 x Yellow Cards this season.
Re: Heineken Cup 2021/22 Other Sides
No ban for Whiskey Malone RFC aka JGP from game in Galway. Deemed low level of force and not a red card.
Re: Heineken Cup 2021/22 Other Sides
Good - Marmion got tackled and fell on JGP’s shoulder.
Any news on the Brive one?
Maybe they didn’t bother with a disciplinary panel and just got the bloke arrested!
Re: Heineken Cup 2021/22 Other Sides
5 game ban! Started at 10 games, but he pleaded guilty, said sorry, brought nice biscuits and had previous clean record.......
