Ulster v Clermont Sat Jan 22 5:30pm BT Sport 3

Post by Neill_M »

The Ulster Rugby Medical Performance team has issued a squad update ahead of Saturday’s Heineken Champions Cup fixture against Clermont Auvergne at Kingspan Stadium.

Andrew Warwick sustained a suspected concussion in Sunday’s Heineken Champions Cup game against Northampton Saints at cinch Stadium. He will follow the return to play protocols this week.

Jacob Stockdale suffered a recent setback in the rehabilitation of his ankle injury and, following further consultation with his specialist, he underwent surgery on Monday of this week. He is not expected to play again this season

Squad updates in association with The Ulster Independent Clinic.

That's a shame about Jacob. I think he would really relish playing the rugby we saw on Sunday.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

Drat. No booze at this wan. I'd forgotten the rules had changed since New Years Day I'll have to adopt a BOJO BYO tactic and secret a couple of tinnies and a wee hip flask in me big coat.

An alcoholic haze has always been an essential element of big European games.

More surprised I’m so out of touch with the rules. A 5:30 kick off does allow for a fair few beforehand though.

What a load of Sh1t - so everyone can queue for soft drinks and coffee but we can’t buy alcohol - ridiculous >threaten >threaten >threaten

STADIUM BARS:

While the public bars will be open, unfortunately they will not be serving alcohol due to current hospitality restrictions, which allows for table service only. Soft drinks, tea, coffee and non-alcoholic drinks will be available. Please note payment in all bars is cashless.
Hospitality customers who are dining within the A&L Goodbody Premium Lounge, Spirit of '99 Lounge or The 1924 Lounge may order alcoholic drinks to their table of six.

FAN ZONE:

The Food Village will be in operation, serving a variety of cuisines, while the Cool FM Crew will provide the soundtrack for the evening.
A new stretch tent has been added to the Fan Zone, where supporters can enjoy a covered, well ventilated space.
The Kukri Store will be open from gates open (3.30pm) until 30 minutes post-match.
The Food Village, Kukri Store and public bars all accept contactless or cashless payments.

The fools on the hill meet every Thurs so that could change. The Scots are easing their restrictions.

Boris is convinced this is a working event and in the best traditions of the civil service, everyone is invited to bring their own booze?????

John Petrie will personally visit us for 25 minutes to thank us for our hard work in cheering the boys on to victory.

Will sour bake Gibbes be there or will he get lost on the way over, like he did when he left here to head home to New Zealand?

What's the logic behind being able to buy tea, coffee, lemonade, burger, chips etc. but not a beer?

TBF, he did just say he wanted to be closer to his sick mum ... and Clermont is about 750 miles closer. Just over 10K miles still to go from Clermont.

That's bound to have knocked a good hour and a half off the time to his wee poor mammy.
