Burns is back in his shell. No control on this game at all.

Big Stu route worked well then we don't do it again. Instead we enter a kick battle. We haven't won one of those in the last 15 years.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

Totally agree happy with a win but disappointed with lack of aspirations to win well and deny them anything.

In years gone by, Ulster had no concept of winning ugly. Tonight wasn’t pretty but they dug in and ground out a very difficult win.
This is an indication of an improving mindset within the squad so while the performance wasn’t the best we’ve seen recently, I’m over the moon and excited to see what can be done against the saffers. :stout: :stout: (not Guinness).

As good as Balacoune and especially Lowry were they really need to get those pressured garryowen takes sorted. Yes the conditions were awful but it didn’t stop Leinster scooping up most of them. Disappointed to give them a bonus point but they deserved it.

I don’t generally have a high opinion of Frank but I thought he had a reasonable game tonight.
Maybe he hates the ladybabies more than us.

Correct. No point trying to judge performance in those conditions.
Excited to see how we go in SA. Hope big D is ok. We’ll need his beef.

I'll take that, conditions were absolutely horrendous, rewatching now at home, conditions were ten times worse at the ground than what it looks on TV.

Weather like that completely neutralises our classy backs and played towards Leinsters forward orientated game.

Delighted with that win, won ugly. Kick tennis hard to watch but in those conditions there was no way to play out of your half. Got our noses in front and ground out the win.

Hopefully "You're so Duane, you probably think this song is about you" is okay!

Ulster win a game they were expected to win. The conditions suited leinsters seconds to turn into a slug fest. Nothing much else to be said.

Some tackle by Baloucoune on the hour.

Right in front of us. Great stuff.

Conditions were miserable.

We shaded the arm wrestle and would have won by miles if it had stayed dry.

Some of you guys are really hard on our Ulster Team. If we are not winning with a bonus point - then we are totally useless.

The conditions - especially in the second half - were horrendous. We ground out a win that we wouldn't have been able to do a couple for seasons ago. We played really well - and our defence in the second half was nothing but courageous.

Looking forward to see them on the firm grounds of South Africa and as we dry out in Spring.

I could be a good year for Ulster. Keep the faith!!

Byrne had a decent game for them (in terms of kicking it up in the air) but given that Ulster play off 9 (if you hadn’t noticed), and the conditions were rancid, what were you expecting exactly?
