For Gardeners only

Post by HwoodMike2umate »

Hi Folks,

Most of my rhubarb (includes some very old clumps) does not seem to be coming to life this year.
I must admit that I have been poor at dividing the roots up each year so probably my fault as the winter wasn't that harsh.
Is anyone either throwing out rhubard clumps/roots or willing to give me some cut offs?
Am willing to collect within 8 mile radius of Holywood.

AND/OR Anyone bought any rhubarb plants in recent years that have proved successful? If so where from and at what price?
No rhubarb plants in B&Q (H'wood) yesterday.

Cheers/slainte HWM

PS I should of course have referred to Rhubarb Crowns not clumps/roots.

saw a few up in Hillmount the other day -- outside on the left close to the entrance

Mike with all Guinness you drink buying a rhubarb crown is a waste of money

Got some Rhubarb crowns in Lidl about a month ago. Think £2 each. Doing well.
