Greg Jones fractured his thumb in Stormers game and will return to Belfast, that's the extent of the injury report.

Did Quinton Immelmann suffer a fractured jaw?
Hopefully we will have a competent officiating team this week.

Be interesting to see how they cope at altitude, may need to kick a bit more. See the bel tel report Jonny Bell will be back to take over from Jared at Def coach - I’d say that’s a good appointment.

Is this on TV?

I was reading how the ref head in SA had to have two conversations to fully understand his thought process.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

I thought the guy was actually inferring that even after to conversations he still didn't fully understand how the decision was reached

I dunno, if you are talking to someone on effectively both their and your specialist subject and you have to speak to them twice, 99% of the time it means that something they said to you the first time doesn't add up. I don't see this fella continuing in his role that much longer.

So they haven't learned anything in relation to the importance of referee neutrality then. It's presumably a cost based issue as they have their refereeing team all lined up with flights and accommodation etc and parachuting someone in at short notice (especially from another hemisphere) would be prohibitively expensive.

I suspect Jonker will be on his best behaviour mind you, so hopefully we don't end up with any controversy. Before the tour I was realistically hoping for 3-5 points from the 2 games. That will be a tall order now, the Bulls are in good nick and altitude is a huge advantage as we have seen time and again.

Piardi was the ref for Ulster v Saints before Christmas and was reasonable from memory. Jonker was relatively balanced as TMO during the Lions Tour when he got the game after #Rassiegate etc. Lets hope Ulster don't give the Bulls a head start this week like they did with the Stormers. Weather is 27 degrees and sunny at the time of the game with the obvious additional altitude factor this week.
