Jonny Bell - New def coach

Post by Dharper »

Looks like Jareds replacement for d coach has been sorted for next season.

Personally I think it is a good pragmatic appointment.

There shouldn’t be any issues settling in at UR, or family wise. UR get a v good and experienced def coach, having worked for Gloucester, Glasgow & Worcester after his previous stint at UR. There’ll be no issues with the UR culture buy in either from JB. Good bit of business I’d say.

Although I’ve not seen the details in the bel tel story.

Is he the new defensive coach?

Or is he the new old defensive coach?
Or the old new defensive coach?

Delighted, thank's for the heads up Harper, our defence was great under Bell previously and great to have an Ulsterman born and bred on the coaching ticket.

I’d imagine that working with Dan instead of Steve Diamond probably has its attractions.

If the best form of defence is attack, is he then the new attack coach?

Or the old new attack coach?

Or the new old attack coach?

What about collisions coach?

Do we want coach collisions?

Where is Jared off to?
From the rolling glens of Antrim through the hills of Donegal we will stand and shout for Ulster as we win both scrum and maul from the lovely lakes of Fermanagh tae the shores of ould Lough Gall we will scream and shout for Ulster as we beat them one and all!

A lot of experience to get a soundboard off - should also help benefit those young backs coming through.

If he has gotten a 2 year extension then he's no longer a newby?
