To be honest, I don't do too much myself, now that I think about it. Are we just getting a bit old? Surely not.
I do still gulder, but in my infirmity, my meds dry up my throat very quickly and what starts out as a gulder can suddenly go high pitch, drop off altogether or result in a bout of coughing.
I require constant sweets to keep the saliva going, although at the last home match when I wasn't driving my voice lasted for the entire match with no difficulty. What a difference a couple of pints and a hipflask of Black Bush can make.
