Alan O'Connor - URC Tackle Machine

Alan O'Connor has won the URC's Tackle Machine award, for the highest tackle success rate for players who have made 150 or more tackles. Nick Timoney was in fifth place.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rea came third in the Turnover King award.

The Golden Boot will be announced tomorrow, Top Try Scorer, Ironman, Fans’ Player of the Season, Next-Gen Star of the Season and the Dream Team will be announced next week, and Coach of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season the following week.

He’s now odds on to concede a line break to Stephen Archer on Friday night.

The URC Dream Team has been announced, and Nick Timoney and James Hume are in it. All players come from six teams from Ireland and South Africa - the Stormers (5), Bulls (3), Sharks (2), Ulster (2), Munster (2) and Leinster (1).

I like the fact that if a Sharks player passes to his LH prop then he can say he’s found his Nche.
