Sexton 1 try 3 appearances and 25 minutes on the pitch
You’re incorrect Rum.

Turko

Really

Mcilroy has all the skills great defender but know what he doesn't do what a go wing should score frequently and if you observe in another thread Ulster's problem has been the inability to put sufficient points on the board and finding they are being outscored in the second half of many games. In 17 games in URC he scored 2 trys in one game.

And why because McFarland picks a defensive backline with Lowry as the wild card in attack.

Hence my comment Turko that a highlight of the season has to be McIlroys 2 trys against Toulouse.

The mood has certainly changed from the end of last season.

Did I see Sparky on the terrace last night? That'd be the my highlight of this season.

This year...
Away performances in SA.
Beating an English team at home in Europe.
First half at RDS.

Oh boy, now there is an eye opener - that OP is a great window into how we were sitting at the end of last season… by contrast I can’t think of a single genuinely impressive performance this year

It’s the Soper/McFarland show.

The attack this season has been atrocious (maul aside) and it seems we’re playing a similar forward pack to that in 2019, doesn’t seem to be enough development of young forwards.

Look at the treatment of Marcus Rea and Izzy, Rea is statistically the best turnover threat in the league yet isn’t in the 23 for a game where we got crucified at the breakdown. I don’t think Vermeulan has been anything special in 2023 & Timoney has also been very poor since the Autumn internationals. For an openside, he has very little threat at the breakdown.

Given how quickly brace was blowing up at the breakdown you would have to think rea would have won a few penalties.

Shame this thread can restart a month earlier than last season.
