Really enjoyed it.
Some incredible defence by both sides in very mixed weather conditions.
It was Sligo’s tactical kicking against the Rainey driving maul.
Great first try for Rainey after Tommy O’Hagan collected a lineout turnover, bullocked into the Sligo half and put the 10 away to sprint home.
They then camped on the home line at the death to win it with the last play and break Sligo hearts.

Fair play, Rainey lost to Harlequins the week before with a penalty try winner being the final act of play.justinr73 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 15, 2022 10:55 pm Really enjoyed it.

Ulster sides on the up this year it seems. Hinch have won a couple which means they may not be in a fight for relegation this year. Noticed wins for Armagh, The students, Quins, Mena and Gannon this weekend. Binmen beat the Bann men and the master race sneaked past Bangor. Accies had a tight away loss.

Instonians 12 from 12 massive points difference, should be a shoe in for promotion

Getting back to AIL saw ex RBAI players return from other clubs which helped them. Plenty of money there as well which is attracting players.Lurgan Lad wrote: ↑Sat Feb 04, 2023 9:26 pmHow have they improved so much Blow in, coaching, new players?
The difference between 2C and the top Qualifying 1 sides is minimal. If Clogher get up this season, they would challenge at the top end of 2C next year.
Re: AIL Energia Leage Rugby/Ulster League
Ludik is coaching there, and has made a difference, they added maybe 5 players this year , I think in their last AIL game they had 9 former pupils playing. I expect them to show well in 2B next year.

Rhys O’Donnell getting 6k to play for them, no wonder they are winning every game. He was stand out in 1A. Serious money getting pumped into them, with Pritchard still there to
Re: AIL Energia Leage Rugby/Ulster League
Sure RoD is a former RBAI pupil, stone's are managing to pull back former school players. If you want to add to those who aren't ulster regulars, McCann, Postlthwaite, Reid,
Max Preston is back playing back row ex rbai
Add in players who are away angus adair, euan mcgee, Stuart Cameron (UNI) Aj hussell (royal navy).
They have some serious talent available to them and appear to be very popular the way they are going about their rugby.
13 wins 13 BP.

Sounds like our reserve 9s did pretty well off the tee this weekend, whereas Flannery wasn’t kicking for ‘Hinch.
