AIL rugby on pitch in good shape in parts. AIL review by IRFU is to be done over coming season. Probably about time and will most likely see reduction in league numbers.

Hughes on the move again, cheaper option and certainly better value than Andress who seems to have had another poor season coaching when measured by results.

Senior cup final has ingredients for a high scoring final. Queens, should they have strong squad will be favourites and battle ready. Instonians will have had time for bumps and bruises to recover but maybe by too much

Sorry can''t agree ; only 3 Ulster clubs in the top 20 of AIL 1A and 1B, is very shabby in my opinion , and is fully illustrative of the sad state of rugby in Ulster and Ulster Rugby. Malone's double relegation in 2 years plus Quins' descent into 2C does not augur well for the standard of rugby in Belfast.

Adding to Belfast clubs Malone and Harlequins demise we have CIYMS dropping a league with Grosvenor struggling, Civil Service saved by Newrys sad demise. PSNI and holywood struggling in 3 also. Cooke and Academy holding up well. Expect Academy to push on next year. Queens maintain after a hard year, being on the end of a few loses that should have been wins. In recent years it seems Instonians are doing well and leading the way in Belfast. Pushing slightly further out Bangor drop their senior status and Dee drop to Q3. Ards maybe going to push this season coming. Lisburn gaining promotion, chased by BHSFP. In the whole not great for Belfast teams, maybe too many??

Stones win senior cup after extra time.

Very good season for them.

Personally for the size of the playing population in Ulster I think its well represented in the AIL. 1A is probably on a level with Nat 1 in England
