Leinster are being shown what real class is! It’s going to be a long 2nd half for them.
Hope is not a strategy.

Sexton will presumably be caught by the new 12 day concussion rule.

His ambition to play in the next World Cup looks fanciful! Farrell is going to have to start Wee Joey or whoever from here on!
Hope is not a strategy.

Michael Bent now called up. Last game was Nov 2021 . He retired at that time.
Now a total joke.
Phil Orr is looking for his boots in the attic, in case the call comes.

Ireland not even selecting enough players. This is a tight tour. 5 games. Not enough players ffs. Amateur. Jokeshop.

As I said beforehand, I expected a fifty pointer margin so 23 was better.
I think we were better than that margin as we were very unlucky not to get some scores in the second half, especially the Carbery one. They got soft tries from us in the first half. Sheehan and JVDF the best of the Irish.
The problem for us is that it's going to get harder. 50 point defeat definitely on the cards next week.

Just predict they will lose by 70. Then if they lose by 50. Claim a win anyway.

Moment of the match for me was joey kneeling in front of the no.8 as if he was about to be knighted. He was lucky the guy avoided the contact otherwise he'd have been knocked clean out.

Dave, we lost 60 nil in Hamilton ten years ago. That's the reality of playing in NZ. I still think it is right to go and play there as you have to test yourselves in the hardest environment. Ireland have to steady themselves and not give away huge scores in the next two weeks. Keeping the ball and being a tad more conservative might be a start.

Ieland looked a far better team when TOT and Tredders came on! Well, in my imagination anyway.

Although TOT did look ok, including a rather fine little cameo at scrum half.

NZ got the rub of the green and it went against Ireland throughout the match. Of course this is a classic example of 'a good team makes its own luck'!

Two times Ringrose actually decides to pass and both get intercepted.
The comedy value is huge in this. Don’t worry about picking the best players for the tour Andy, just keep your paymasters happy by picking the Leinster team.
Now Ed Byrne and Bent are on the way. Will they wear clown costumes and drive funny little cars onto the pitch?

That's it. Didn't get pasted 60 nil. Therefore hold that big W.
