Thanks for insight. Does AF play on form?Big-al wrote: ↑Mon May 29, 2023 11:14 amThere is absolutely no chance that a fit Rob Herring and Iain Henderson don’t make the RWC squad.CIMANFOREVER wrote: ↑Sun May 28, 2023 12:41 pm The realisation sunk in yesterday methinks.
Hopefully this heaps more pressure on UR as the underperforming problem child. I wonder are there the same BS conversations about Demographics and unfairness around Turnipstan and Galway? We're now the fourth province in terms of going trophy less. Turnips have, on paper, similar squad depth to us- so what's the difference where they can beat Ladybois in a SF, and 5 very difficult away victories in a row?
Two gnarley Saffers locks, great fit of a coach and belief that has keyed back into all the old clichéd Munster memes, for a team that has greater than the sum of its parts. Crowley was excellent at 10 btw, much like Burns isn't.
Given their run, expect to see Hendo, Herring and Stewart's places in question for RWC. Even Archer has had an Indian summer.
All were magnificent yesterday and fair play to Dobbo for his post match conference in praise of Munster.
It's hard to like Saffa media, crowds and some of their showboating players though- utterly arrogant.
Henderson hasn't played since 6 nations, only a few practice games left until Rwc, diminished form and gametime over past few seasons, plus especially prone to hand/ limb injuries, given how he plays. Often needs a number of games to get up to speed then breaks down.Who does AF take? Given SA, Scotland and France or NZ in the draw....
Treadwell- MIA for UR when it counts; Seems to play for AF.
Kleyn- in form albeit supported by Snyman and Beirne, fully fit and firing.
I don't particularly rate Molony.
Dillane unavailable at LAR.
Herring- form diminished second half of season, MIA like the rest of the squad in meaningful games, confidence? Winning culture?
Both Stewart and Barron who's now played himself into form with a winning team on an upward trajectory after a poor start to the season ; has unlocked the sort of performances that may bring him into serious consideration alongside Herring and Stewart, another potential bolter and one of URs few positives.
AFs last views of Herring? Owned by Heffernan in a FR that was served by Connacht and popped when it counted by Ladybois
To say Herring or Hendos places are guaranteed/ not under threat even if injury free is frankly BS.
