This thread is making me think of the bogs in De Danu , Toulouse in 2007 , the night before an infamous event.

Worst I have ever experienced !

Tbf, the solitary bog in McNulty’s wasn’t in bad nick (a couple of hours before kick off anyway).

The real drinking was being done in Humberts though.

Not least because Humberts was open for another two hours each night, I stand by my claim.

As opposed to all of us who were drunk soaking.

Don’t think I was the only one thinking about how to get back to the hotel during that first half.

It was bloody miserable.

Glad we collectively stuck it out but the sore throat/cold now seems to be hitting me.

By the time we walked back afterwards and showered, all the restaurants had shut but the place opposite Humberts delivered a Pad Thai to the pub for us.

Bet you didn’t get that at McNultys?!

School boy error!

We dined big at lunch.

We stayed pretty dry at the game, if I'm honest.

Drank under the stand and then up to the VIP area, for a few complementary scoops.
Then around to Jean Pierre Elissalde's bar, until he got fed up looking at us and got us a taxi back into town.

From there it was a non-descript bar or two before McNulty's for some pints of stout (and a Brandy for the voice).

Noel sorted us out with a kebab for the way back to the hotel.

I'm not sure closing time was that relevant in McNulty's.
