From the look of it Ealing Trailfinders looking to merge with Ospreys and have a future in the URC.. a trip to London on the cards now

Sure joining the English has long been the Welsh dream, they think they might actually win a game. Sorry to say I'd rather let them leave and have Georgia and another south African side.

Yep, no interest in an English based team in the URC, England has their own league. Hopefully English RFU can block.

Would welcome the Cheetahs back in, with more South African based games for them and with the full backing of the Saffer union would be another decent team.

This Ealing team just dilutes the league "product"

I feel that the alleged plan to take over the Ospreys “Franchise” is a combination of an English Club wanting to give the two fingers to the PRL and the RFU along with the current “owners” of the Ospreys seeing bankruptcy or administration looming and y this would give them a way out from their liabilities.

I know that there would be some commercial advantages of having a toehold in the English Market together with the Irish,Welsh,Scottish and S.African diaspora as potential customers. Certainly with Ealings current numbers this would be a major boost.
However although the WRU may be happy with this arrangement I can’t see the other Rugby Unions involved nor World Rugby
being very happy. I suspect that the IRFU will be at the head of the anti’s.

This not to mention how they will manipulate the contracts of two squads and staff into one entity.
I know that Ospreys haven’t a massive support but either they or that at Ealing are about to be ditched.

This is absolutely pathetic. The Welsh regions would be better joining forces. A sh1t team from London isn't going to improve anything.

Ealing Trailfinders is hardly a real club. It must be completely made up.

I think it's a money laundering scheme.

A few of our boys managed to find their way there.

The league backs it. Only way to get the product "Candy" Kane back in front of the spectators.

Do you think the Welsh will go to two teams, like the Scots and Italians? Anybody know if their smaller local clubs get much support these days?

They’re contracted to provide 4.

Crowd at Cardiff was bigger than the last time I went, albeit it was their last home game of the season I believe.
