Pool A - world number 2, 4
Pool B - world number 1, 3, 5
Pool C - world number 7, 8, 10
Pool D - world number 6, 9

I'm sure there has been some discussion about this somewhere. Am I missing something?
They were decided, and based on the world rankings, in 2020!!

I know teams need time to arrange accommodation and training facilities etc but that does seem excessive.
They will change it for the next world Cup.

Nearly three years to make hotel and training arrangements? Absurd.
Only rugby union alickadoos could think like that.

Australia have to keep accommodation and training facilities for another week, at the end of which they will be going home.
I'm not arguing -
I'm just explaining why I'm right

Group were drawn in November 2020 but they used the rankings from the end of 2019 due to Covid disrupting teams from playing.

I hope some members of the IRFU occasionally visit this site to realise the apathy of the average rugby Fan to all things to all things concerning the Irish rugby team occasioned by their decision to exile two of the best rugby players from Ulster evidenced by the large number of comments regarding the team selection and performance of the Irish team.

With regards to team selected to play the ABs the addition of JoB is not surprising considering Hansen departed early against the Scots and faced with an ageing AB pack McCarthy instead of Baird is not surprising fine player that Baird is he lacks the physical presence of McCarthy.

McCarthy looks a player of huge potential. Baird is unlucky but I’d say it’s the right call. McCarthy could replace Henderson at TH lock, McCarthys a big man, althletic, and powerful. Well capable of some dirty hard carries in the tight, and causing issues at the breakdown. I think we definitely have a better front row, and generally a better pack / forward bench. Think in an arm wrestle McCarthy could match up favourably and add value.
Baird is quality, but McCarthyoffers a bit more grunt in the tight. The more we tie in NZ pack in the tight the better.

So we're saying we want to wait for the draw to be made for 2027?

Ireland are 2nd in the rankings - I can't see that lasting too much longer. Lets get the draw made on Monday morning!
Can I come out from behind the sofa yet?

Engerland beat the Argies and get a medal. Goose Green all over again. Hope they're coming back to blighty on an aircraft carrier

Conor O'Shea is a better choice.

There is a pub toilet in NZ where you can go into it and piiss on an image of Wayne Barnes on the urinal.
I would prefer to do it on the real man.
