I reckon the Saffers are as glad to avoid the ABs as Ireland are to play them.

Pollard coming back makes them much stronger in knock out rugby.

Is he sponsored to do that?

I’ve not checked but you’d think it’d be an issue?

What does James Ryan bring to the team that means he's first name on the team sheet? I genuinely have no idea what he does.

No chance of him cleaning out two forwards at a ruck as per Hendy when he came on. Ryan has been built up by D4 press unfortunately. He is not a lineout caller. POC rates Hendy and recognises the work he does. AF has him as a finisher.

Ryan was the poorest player on the pitch. My Granny has more aggression.

Most overrated player in the Ireland team by a distance.

Etzebeth was also absolutely shyte. If he was an Ulster player he'd never play international rugby again after that performance

It depends on Scotland's score to morrow

But I expect a different team to play Scotland before the quarters

Back three to include O'Brien centres McCloskey and Henshaw

Crowley and Murray at half back

Sexton Aki and Ringrose to be rested

The pack to be mixed bag .

They get two weeks rest before the game.

Would you wanna go into a WC QF having not played for three weeks?

They have played 3 games in 3 weeks lumps on lumps and mentally exhausted

I would rest some if I could but ensure a pack that can dominate the Scottish one win ugly

Why bring the players if you haven't the faith in them to beat a Scottish side .

Note my changes are in the mid field back line the forwards being a mix of experience and youth with an option of more experience on the bench if needed -- ie senior players subbing the last 10 or sooner if necessary .

Kelleher was poor, lineout was shocking. He would be lambasted in the media if he came from any other Province. He wasn't helped by Ryan having lead in his boots. POM bailed us out of that match

POM was invaluable.

I hear what Rum says but you’ve got to think that Scotland should be on 10 points by the weekend after next and they’re due to beat Ireland!

The bench was superb. No doubt about it ire rode their luck, but credit where’s its due.
The scrum was at times creaking, 6 lost lineouts? 2 saffer packs faced. They still found a way to win, massive credit to the ire pack. The saffers looked genuinely shocked there was no implosion with the physical challenge of 7/1.

Aki and lowe may not be the most popular of ire players on this forum, but they are big players for Ireland and fully deserve credit.

Farrell has totally changed the mindset, great to see this from ire players.
