Ulster v Munster
So with the Connacht game generally being seen as either a solid performance earning 1 point more than most expected, or as another case of Ulster throwing away a winning position, eyes turn now to the visit of Turnipstan to Ravenspan on Friday night.
We lost this corresponding fixture last season to a last minute try, though it was the return fixture last year and we'd already beaten Munster in Thomond. It was also fairly strong teams, with Iain Henderson making his quarterly Ulster appearance on the night.
I think this is the first week that the internationals who played regularly in the RWC are allowed back to play, so maybe the likes of McCloskey will be involved for us. Munster might drop in a few of their internationals too. Presumably both teams will use the next 4 weeks to drop in their internationals ahead of European games.
I think no matter what your view on how Saturday night went, all are in agreement that Sheridan, McCann, Flannery and Hume deserve to keep their spot in the squad. That said, I fully expect Billy Burns to start. Wouldn't be surprised if Hume is the only one who retains a starting berth, that'd be typical McFarland.
A lot hinges on what sort of team the turnips send up.

Sounds like the internationals will be back but Hume will be out.
Re: Munster v Ulster
Forgot he went off injured tbh.
Luke Marshall injured too right? Where does that leave us?

We’ve three centres out with concussion but Stu should play.
It’ll be interesting to see if Lowry, Stockdale, Bobby and Jude are fit. Bar Stockdale, they finished the game the other Sunday.

Re: Ulster v Munster
Sheridan must start. We need him angry and uncompromising, ready to take the fight to the Turnips up front. Someone do a whip around to send his GF away for the week, and take away his laptop and phone . . .

Any chance marty moore could make this? Be nice if could make his return in the same fixture he got injured in. If big stu returns then little stu can shift one further out, he has the skills to play 13.

Was still down on the injury list as of Friday, so I doubt it.jean valjean wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2023 2:37 pm Any chance marty moore could make this? Think we'll see
12. McCloskey
13. Moore
Unsure on the status of Posthlewaite or Curtis, both of whom were ruled out of the Connacht match. After them the next time in line would be Ben Carson I think.

Can Postlewaithe play 13 or is he exclusively 12?MightyRearranger wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2023 3:26 pmThink we'll see

You've got to get your first tackle in early, even if it's late.

I see Addison is going for a scan on a hamstring he's pulled (probably on the coach journey down ffs). No doubt he'll be out for the rest of the year. When is his contract up out of interest?
Re: Ulster v Munster
He done his hamstring in the warm-up.

Wasn't serious about the journey. He's had the most awful run with injuries ... hopefully this is not another longterm one.
