Innovative scheme from Bristol Bears.

" Fans cycling to our Allianz PWR opener against Sale Sharks on Saturday (November 18th, 12:30pm KO) can benefit from free minor repairs to their bike to ensure it is roadworthy and running smoothly.

The Dr Bike scheme, in collaboration with Bristol City Council, will take place at the stadium cycle racks behind the South Stand turnstiles from 11am.

A qualified cycle mechanic will work before kick-off and throughout the game to work on as many bikes as possible on a first-come first-served basis so fans wishing to take advantage are encouraged to arrive early.

Each bike will receive up to 30 minutes of TLC. The mechanic will perform safety checks and carry out essential repairs such as fixing breaks, mending punctures and tuning gears. The team will also give you a ‘prescription’ with details of any larger works which need to be taken to a local bike shop for full repairs.

Ashton Gate has 96 cycle parking spaces and a free to use bike pump behind the South Stand.

According to the above they are even " fixing breaks".

Great idea.

Could Ravenspan do something similar with Ford Fiestas?

Ashton Gate sounds like some dodgy scandal our favourite English winger got himself into.

Great cider pub called The Orchard Inn near Ashton Gate.

Probably best to leave your bike there.

I know it wasn't original, but his last try ending was great(a decent advert for the Tigers last year too)
