Scarlets 7-23 Black Lion tonight.

Fully deserved win for the Georgians, Scarlets were worse than rubbish.

Imagine losing at home to a Georgian pub team….

I blame the coaches.

Well the pub team from Gibraltar got in to the European footy comps and even played the mighty PNE in a friendly in the summer!

Well the Parker Pen is the rugby equivalent of the Europa League / Conference League 😉

Connacht into the Challenge Cup with their BP win over Bristol.

Bayonne also into Challenge Cup with Toulon getting nul points at Glasgow.

Ruan scores 12 points for Cheetahs (try, two conversions and a penalty) but they lose by 1 point in the 89th minute.

Turnips losing at home against 14 men. And they call us bottlers.

It did take some of the gloom away I must admit.

Could have a rematch of today's game in R16 BUT in Northampton.

Other pool rematches Leinster Tigers and Bordeaux Saracens possible.

While obviously delighted with Leinster's progress as a top seed, I am profoundly depressed at the state of Ulster and Munster. Outgunned and outplayed by English opposition.
This has not been an especially good weekend for Irish rugby. The imbalance seems to be getting worse. Time to send Moloney, Conan, Connors, the Byrne brothers,Jordan Larmour et al to other provinces.

First sentence spot on, D4. Sadly the second sentence would only provide a bit of a sticking plaster for Ulster, at best. Our problems go much deeper.

Indeed Leinster as a top seed, then Munster as a bottom seed and Ulster and Connacht in the Parker Pen, big gap.
