Why, when a defender is offside on his line and makes a tackle preventing a try, is it not a Penalty Try?
They never give them, but if you take that player out of the frame, a try almost certainly would have been scored, su surely a penalty try?

for the second week in a row, we butcher any chance of scoring a 4th try at the end of the game

Fez thinks Quins cam go on and compete with the best in the Champions Cup.
Doubt they'll play any team that gifts them as many tries as we did today.

Fez is full of Shyte as you know Cap'n. The Bulls/ Bordeaux game in Pretoria shows why Quins will be outgunned by a reasonably decent team....

Watching leinster and munster later will only highlight how far we have fallen. Connacht last night would have put 40 points on us as well.

Only one word for that... embarrassingly pathetic.

Agreed, didn't have any bearing on our unenforced errors, but the ref was atrocious today.Cap'n Grumpy wrote: ↑Sat Jan 20, 2024 3:37 pm Just to be clear, we have been the architects of our own demise, but this referee - Referee of th eYear in France in 2023 - has been absolutely shocking.
Last Quinns try clearly had a final pass that was forward, but he's stopped applying the laws a long time ago. Not that it matters much anyway.
3 reasons not to award the first Quins try
Looked for the slightest error for Kitschoff's non-try but wouldn't apply the same logic to any dodgy Quins attack
Breakdown performance was a shambles for both teams
After 6 years or more as an elite level ref his English is still a pile of merde

Is the tie breaker head to head or points difference? If Cardiff win and Racing get 2 points does that knock us out completely?

Seriously do we care? Only to be embarrassed again?

I’m assuming that looked as embarrassing from the sofa as it did at the game.

Sad to say it did, and embarrassing is exactly the word.justinr73 wrote:I’m assuming that looked as embarrassing from the sofa as it did at the game.

I was only listening on the radio. Sounded like at every other breakdown we were turned over. The only thing we're consistent at is being rubbish at loose play.
Oh, and being awful at lineouts.
And then there's passing the ball out along the backs and ending up ten yards behind where we started.

We are not good enough at this level , too many very good AIL players , not enough international class , to compete at the highest Champions Cup level you need players with International experience ( either current or former) , Bell is an awful coach and stealing a living , Soper should go back to Inst since that’s his level , McFarland nice chap poor head coach , Petrie a poor CEO and has now been found to be out of his depth, tell me , what has he improved as a CEO other than run the organisation at a loss, with a stupid wage bill for management . Time for change , nothing cosmetic, a serious change , Dan time to go and take the rubbish with you .
Something rotten in the set up , they know it , they now know we know it , change has to come , right now if there was no coaching it couldn’t be any worse .
