Oh, and being awful at lineouts.

And then there's passing the ball out along the backs and ending up ten yards behind where we started.
Defence is fine then ?
As is de wall and de gate.

We went through quite a few and either dropped it or didn’t support the runner.

Don’t think I’ve seen seven softer tries in my life.
Don't need to look hard Justin. Most every match....
I don’t think so. They outdid themselves today.
50+ years of watching Ulster and I concur - today's were a new low in softness/gifts.

Times-a-plenty we've been carved open by better teams and lots of gifts to many over the years, but today we took our eyes off the ball at just the wrong times and gifted several tries in one match.

TBF, the ref and other officials took their eyes off the ball several times too which didn't help either, but thon's another story.

All I meant was that the match was killed off by Ulster ourselves, not that UR itself is dying!

Indeed - my mistake.

Perhaps it's fortunate that you can't score an "own try" like an own-goal in football, or Ulster would no doubt manage that too, but it seemed we came pretty close to that a couple of times yesterday.

I s'pose the nearest equivalent to an own-goal in rugby is a penalty try but we at least avoided that.

My point was that almost every game this season we've gifted soft tries, and indeed the last. So it wasn't a surprise. Just the magnitude. Yesterday was the Apogee or Perigee depending on perspective

Just down the road from Lourdes. Might be worth dipping Addison in the healing waters?

Can today's games change this? Ospreys losing at half time.

Ospreys game no impact IF Ulster stay as 11th seed. If Bayonne get 2 match points* v Exeter at 5:30pm then Ulster would drop to 12th seed and the outcome of the Lions Ospreys game would be of significance, i.e. Ulster would play 2nd in that pool which is currently Montpellier.

*If they lost with a LBP and TBP would go to points difference, Bayonne -48 Ulster -59.

Simples😂

Montpellier are propping up the Top 14 with 3 wins from 12. Pau are 6th

Ospreys win in Joburg, but Montpellier got 2nd on points difference. So it is Montpellier OR Pau.

Exeter need fifty odd and a BP to catch Saints so if they concede once or twice early then they may lose interest.

Sounds like some of our travelling army have had their weekend capped off by their flight to Dublin landing in……

Manchester.

Still, I’m sure the players are hurting far more.
