Can’t find the tournament rules - could be a head to head element or something?
No it is points difference, then tries scored. They were wrong and are just burying their heads in the sand.

England +59 v Ireland +41 PD, Ireland 18 tries v England 17.

Ireland Scotland 7pm next Friday and France England at 8pm. Should be a cricket score in Cork, England will need all 5 points in France.
Interesting, I had kind of taken the comms team at their word, but reading some of the stuff on here I have learnt my lesson, and even the table can’t be trusted ImageImage

That sets it up nicely then, and given the choice I’d take our place next week.. there has been a bit of chopping and changing in the French side and as far as I understand quite a few younger boys brought in, but they were very dominant against Wales so hopefully can at least keep it tight against Eng…

Ireland we’re leaving with 2 points (lBP & Try BP and England 5pts.

Meaning there would have been a 4pt gap on the table between the two sides.

Ireland could have won the tournament with a BP win and England losing without a BP next weekend.

Friday night’s match is live on Virgin Media Two and the BBC iPlayer (7pm Kick Off)

Ireland will be expected to get max match points and a healthy points difference v a poor Scotland side. England who kick off in France at 8pm UK Time will probably need to get max match points to win the title given Ireland are only 17 points behind on points difference.

15. Ben O’Connor (UCC RFC/Munster)
14. Finn Treacy (Galwegians RFC/Connacht)
13. Wilhelm de Klerk (UCD RFC/Leinster)
12. Hugh Gavin (Galwegians RFC/Connacht)
11. Hugo McLaughlin (Lansdowne FC/Leinster)
10. Jack Murphy (Clontarf FC/Leinster)
9. Oliver Coffey (Blackrock College RFC/Leinster)

1. Alex Usanov (Clontarf FC/Leinster)
2. Henry Walker (Queen’s University Belfast RFC/Ulster)
3. Jacob Boyd (Queen’s University Belfast RFC/Ulster)
4. Joe Hopes (Queen’s University Belfast RFC/Ulster)
5. Evan O’Connell (UL Bohemian RFC/Munster) (capt)
6. Sean Edogbo (UCC RFC/Munster)
7. Bryn Ward (Ballynahinch RFC/Ulster)
8. Luke Murphy (Shannon RFC/Munster)

Murphy out...

Ireland very poor- disjointed against a robust pack but very limited Scottish team playing a very effective blitz defence. Overconfidence like their senior peers last week?

Another Ulster forward on- McKillop

Murphy in... F#ck me Scotland are brutal. Going the way of the Welsh...

Good cameos from Hopes and now McKillop who's only 19.

Walker, Boyd, McKillop, Hopes, Ward, and Bell with a mother from Dee :duck: - all Ulster representation are forwards. Truly unusual

29-0 - not quite the cricket score, but 4 tries anyway.

France have butchered a couple of nailed on scoring chances - hope they don't regret that.

Points difference don't come into it now - England win, they win the championship.

If they draw or lose, it's ours.
