donna traynor "well what a weekend in sport with munster winning the heineken cup and ulster remaining in pole position in the chase for the celtic league title....... but first, news of northen ireland's tour of the USA and darren clarke's fortunes in the irish open"
oh, and as a final insult... NO LLANELLI HIGHLIGHTS AT ALL!!! feckin' ragin!!!
The highlights were shown on BBC Breakfast on Saturday so I guess they decided the local news had more important things to show - like some policeman being dunked into a pool of water outside the City Hall
(fecking stupid local media coverage of rugby as always... <-- grumpy faced chick)
Aye - and you didn't see it on UTV - some guy from the Garda Siochana was on that wee plastic seat with a guy from the PSNI and they were dunked together. Weird - maybe it's cross community relations or something - dunk the police forces in water!
I think the highlights were shown on UTV tonight weren't they? But even still the country's most succesful sport doesn;t get the attention it deserves!
The policemen being dunked was in relation to the launch of the torch run by the Civic Guards and the PSNI for the ALL IRELAND SPECIAL OLYMPICS which are being hosted in Belfast this year.
It a fairly important event and one which should be getting all our support.
The torch is being carried by some of the athletics and members of the local forces, starting in Cork and coming North.
But yes the BBC and UTV do us proud as always.....but today is Monday and two days have passed since the Ulster match.
fair do's, but why did they mention it and not show the feckin' highlights? i mean the antrim goalkeeper who had to wear a dubs top against fermanagh 'cos of a kit mix up practically got top bill

when Fermanagh do well in any sport we deserve top billing
