And my bonus choice is the American Series by Johnny Cash.

Watched "Walk The Line" last night; he really was The Man

He's some pup Browner, his da's a hot dog i believe :D

Rubber Soul, Powermor, excellent choice though i reckoned Revolver a superior piece. Saw Pet Sounds mentioned earlier, another cracker choice but i'm beginning to wonder what age any of these posters are.

I mentioned that, only 18. Have to say my dad would have a big influence on my music choice. A lot of the older stuff is far better than what we get today!

Revolver was also in the running - (and the white album) but Rubber soul got the nod as it had a bigger influence on my musical development.

Really wanted it to be about a top thirty so that I wouldn't have to make so many tough decisions. Steely Dan - can't buy a thrill, Croby Stills Nash and Young - Deja vu, Elvis Costello - Armed Forces, Billy Bragg - Talking to the taxman about poetry, Fleetwood Mac - Pious bird of good omen, Jackson Browne - running on empty, Alanis Morrisette - jagged little pill. Be bop deluxe - axe victim, Clapton - 461 Ocean Boulevard, Dylan - Blood on the tracks, the list goes on and on.....
Paul.

No worries RHS, those where the days my friend when music had lyrics, a melody and a whole lotta soul. Like your extended choice Powermor, I'm a fan of music in which you can actually hear what's being sung and has a melody to it.

As an aside the Beatles albums are stilling sellling at £16.99 which is mildly ridiculous for music 40 years old but hey quality endures.
