As we draw near to the 5th of April it is worth reminding people that charitable donations can be offset against tax and The charities benefit by the tax ie if you donate £ 100 the Charity will receive £125

With that reminder I draw your attention to "Friends of Cancer "-- Belfast Cancer Centre Belfast City Hospital -- attending it for radiation for 20 days you become aware of the numbers of people affected by cancer 10 machines in use from 8 30 in the morning to after 6 o clock at night non stop 5 days a week 52 weeks a year and that is just the radiation treatment centre .

many of those patients are like Snipe living on hope and supported by the nursing staff and those who provide treatment .

The charity funds 38 additional members of staff -- supports local research, as well as patients and their families

Fixed that for you Rum ;)

I must owe them a brave few quid for the wee packets of biscuits alone.

Better hoke out the bank card again.

BR you are correct

The Charity is " Friends of Cancer Centre "

I have just verified to the response I received to my donation I considered that asking people to donate in lieu of Flowers a bit gross in that any donation would be that of friends and relatives rather than myself and the fact being I receive the benefit of those who have already donated

Better to give while living rather than ask others to give when you're dead.

And yes I do put my money where my mouth is .

Web sites that convert k.o. times to the time zone they think you are in. Especially when they don't bother to state what that time zone is.

Reading that a club is saddened by a player's passing.

And very often they save the insult for just after he dies. Don't even have the balls to say it to his face.

Not really - but can they not just be sorry about his death; rather than his passing?

Rum, happy to be bored by your news and long may your PSA remain at an appropriate level. As someone with an 'old school prop physique', I was fortunate not have to undergo hormone therapy, primarily due to being diagnosed very early. LESSON TO MEN AGED 60+ : GET YOUR PSA LEVELS TESTED AT LEAST YEARLY IRRESPECTIVE IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUES WITH YOUR WATERWORKS OR NOT .... As Delboy would say , ''you know it makes sense!!''
