End of the world tomorrow,

Post by bootlace »

End of the World tomorrow? yup the Large Hadron Collider is going to be switched on tomorrow which will mean the end of the world and everything else for that matter[pardon the pun  ] BBC are considering live coverage with a repeat on sunday  . What I think they are trying to do is to smash two proteins together,I think they are going to smash two large mushrooms together[higher in protein than steak]and see what happens at the speed of 99.9999991% the speed of light,to try and create conditions a billionth of a second after the big bang. This apparently will help answer quetions like what is 96% of the universve we can't see made of? { personally I would have thought nothing},and also what is mass? {ask a priest}.

I totally agree with the end of the world theory which is what I'm telling the missus anyway, so I will be having me birthday present early this year  :bounce:

Best gets some aspirins in quick- for headaches! :)

Holywood Mike should take note too- no need to order any more oil. I may dig out my video of 1999 European Cup win so as I die happy.

Anyone want to buy a batch of stand tickets for the rest of the season
Thing that baffles me is how are the BBC going to transmit this as if it happens at 99.9999991% we won't see it happen anyway and if the camera disappears into a black hole we won't see that either as we will have gone with it.
Will Gusher be going over to do the commentary ?

From what i've read i believe the machine is similar, but not identical, to the one Jodi Foster got into in the film Contact.

and she subsequently turned into a Lesbian.

WTF will happen 2 us all 2morrow ? ?

The largely Heterosexual Ulster rugby public have a rite 2 no b4 its too late.

that's a plan .... then if things start to be swallowed up by a black hole, Gusher can swallow the black hole and stop it
I'm not arguing -
I'm just explaining why I'm right
