Half way through the fill I saw that they were charging 157.9. I think the technical term might be 'Getting the arm in'! I'll be more creful to check the price in future.
GO (also normally a bit cheaper) on the Rosetta Rd are 164.9 for UL this morning

Sainsburys just round the corner are 149.9

Correction Just realised Solids. The aforementioned station on the Rosetta road is actually "Solo" NOT "GO".
It used to be GO until some scrote left a burning car on the forecourt with inevitable consequences.

What's going on with Solo? Used to be cheapest around, now 15p to 20p dearer than others!

One explanation I've heard is that the smaller suppliers have less stock than the big boys and so have to react more quickly to the international price hikes.

Pattersons, on the Gilford Road outside Portyup, was at 169.9 yesterday. Time to think about going hybrid/ev?

With nickel having quadrupled in price over the last 3 days the price of hybrid and ev cars is likely to rise somewhat as it's used in their batteries. I also can't see the government carrying on subsidising the electric car producers with all the other demands on our money. It looks as though a second hand bike is the way to go.

I guess oil normally sells by an auction of some sort, hence the volatility in price. Why can oil producers not simply say, 'We're going to cap oil prices at (say) $110 per barrel for the next 6 months, as our contribution to putting pressure on Russia.'? Presumably they're not losing money although not making as much as they would otherwise. I assume it's more complicated than this!
