I live in Larne and my dad is too tight to upgrade any further than 512kbs thanks to AOL!

What lies behind the decision to carry out this survey would be of interest to me.

well, depending on the majority of answers the content of the site can be customised for those with speedier connections etc, such as the video page as an obvious example. Other reasons might be the future use of animated graphics and possibly the inclusion of flash as a medium for browsing. The list is endless. :D

Where would customisation to suit those who have speedier connections leave us clip clops?

Future proofing the site to individuals depending on their speed would mean that those on slower connections would get less graphic/ download intensive web viewing.

I have clip clopped my way through your reply but I think I may be too slow to understand fully what is being said.

Does your reply mean that clip clops would be excluded from access to (some) content on the site (potentially, but in the future) due to an inability to receive at fast download speeds?

No cables, don't worry, there will not be any exclusion ever on here for any content, but as in the video section I will be able to provide content tailored to user requirements.

Let me ask you a question - If you watch a video from the video highlights section of the site, do you download the broadband file or the modem file?

Connections are slow slow down in Armagh they don't even bother to log in any more as it wastes so much bandwidth

Correct Paul  and BT say 5 to 6 years minimum before they get better    or pay £1100 for installation and £60 per month for 512 kb download and 128 upload on satellite, speed not garanteed
