Re: Next NIQ

Nick Williams would worry me an awful lot!!! Will do well for one of our AIL teams though because that is about all the game time he would be worth. Wilson And Henry can cover 8. Ferris,Henry,McComish,Henderson and Tuohy Could cover 6, with Henry and Birch sharing 7 duties. If we are bringing in a b...

Re: AIL FIXTURES

Disappointing for Quins but may be the best thing for them, less travelling with Malone up as well that is 4 ulster derbies out of 9 away games and it gives them a chance to get their house in order with regards the 2nds and strengthening the rest of the club. Will be interesting to see the allocati...

Re: Humphreys set to leave Ulster for Premiership

Not impressed with NOC coming back but we may just hope PJ doesn't get injured or called up to the Ireland squad, which could be likely as I would imagine him and Madigan would feel they are ahead of Keatley at present.

Re: Humphreys set to leave Ulster for Premiership

http://www.ulsterrugby.com/news/10502.php Confirmed Anyone care to tell me who Stuart Olding is?? :? He is a 19 year old out half who played Irish Schools and was on the bench for Ireland 20's this year, at times when fit hasn't been starting for Harlequins this year though but seems to have alot o...

Re: Ulster v Edinburgh Positives and Negatives

:D Well him and Kearney anyway, the 2 of them where chatting at the end of the game.

It basically comes down to the fact we have to step up to a level of intensity and physicality greater than the quarter final if we are to win at Twickenham.

Re: Squad for next season

Not sure this is in the right topic but was speaking with a good friend of Ian Whittens today who said that: Ian phoned BML on Thursday asking if he could go to the game on Saturday with his mates and not with the squad, as he wanted to sit in the ulster crowd with his friends. Brian said this was ...

Re: Ulster v Edinburgh Positives and Negatives

Baggy said 'Then again if we scrummage like that again against an overblown Fat Ross & an underpowered but strong minded Cian Healy we can win the game.' 'It will come down to Johannes Gysbert Muller a paragon of virtue having a better pack than that filthy dirty ugly barsteward Plug Cullen who...

Re: Ulstermen Playing Abroad

I totally agree but I was trying to make the point that he hasn't been used as effectively as he could have by Ulster.

Gilroy and Henderson were both seen as not being good enough for Ulster Schools, yet 3 years later they have done ok.

Re: Ulstermen Playing Abroad

Nevin has been turned into a crash ball merchant by the style Ulster have tried to use him to play at, which is a real shame as his step, acceleration and hand off were what set him apart when he was at under age level, allowing him to get on the outside of players. I would prefer to see him at outs...
