6 Nations 2023
Fixtures have been released for next year's competition. This will be Ireland's turn to have the "downhill" leg of the six nations as we have the traditionally more difficult opponents at home (England and France), whilst facing the easier ones away. It will be an important year for the six nations as the winning side would be hoping to carry some momentum through the year to peak for the World Cup in Sept. Ireland will probably be bookies favourite or thereabouts with home advantage falling where it does.

Re: 6 Nations 2023
Buy them from the Italian website. Fairly easy to do as never sold out. The big issue is always travel costs as flights from Ireland rocket in cost as soon as dates announced.pwrmoore wrote:Anyone know how to get tickets for games in Rome?
Re: 6 Nations 2023
Thanks thought that might be it. Have managed to secure reasonable flights by going for 6 days just need to fill out the rest of the schedule!jean valjean wrote: ↑Fri Apr 22, 2022 10:17 amBuy them from the Italian website. Another good thing about rome is that an event like a 6 nations game doesn't inflate hotel prices either given the amount of tourists they get all year round.pwrmoore wrote:Thanks thought that might be it. It would be hard to inflate them much furtherjean valjean wrote: ↑Fri Apr 22, 2022 10:59 amAnother good thing about rome is that an event like a 6 nations game doesn't inflate hotel prices either given the amount of tourists they get all year round.pwrmoore wrote:Thanks thought that might be it. Volunteer at an animal sanctuary; it will fill you with joy , despair, but most of all love, unconditional love of the animals.

Gatland is back as head coach for Wales.
Excuse my language.

I have my own tv channel, what have you got?
Re: 6 Nations 2023
He may behave like a d1ck sometimes, but he’s a hell of a coach.
He definitely injected some steel into the Welsh side.
Maybe Ulster should be talking to him.

Sounds like Eddie Jones will be unemployed by tomorrow.
Re: 6 Nations 2023
Will Borthwick survive beyond 6Ns 2024?
I'm going to say no.
I think England really needed another SH coach. The move from English coach has done them the world of good, and maybe after RWC23 they cold go back to home-grown, but I don't think they're ready yet. I actually think they should have stuck with Jones.

Re: 6 Nations 2023
Not sure they could afford to terminate a five year deal that early when they had to buy him out at Leicester!
Good man is Borthers though. Preston fan.
He’s going to need a good attack coach though. Nick Evans at Quins would be the obvious one.

Re: 6 Nations 2023
England beat Jones and his team to win the World Cup with an English coach, granted he did little hands on coaching himself. I had us as also rans for the 6 Nations, but now, well who knows, I expect changes both in attitude and in performances.BR wrote: ↑Tue Dec 20, 2022 3:02 pm Will Borthwick survive beyond 6Ns 2024?

England should never be also rans in the 6Ns, albeit Jones was quite prepared to use it as a tool to achieve what he wanted in RWC terms.
Will SB prefer to fight on 2.fronts? I think he will. I also think we'll see the players under pressure to do so.

To be honest Borthwick was here for just a short time, I'm not sure what he'll do with England, what worked with Tigers last year ain't going to work for internationals a year later is it?
