Far be it for me to try to do his job but did nobody read Fonz's warnings on this matter. He must be on the drink for the weekend but he isn't going to like being ignored when he checks and sees that discussion on another thread has started after he posted on Friday.

Yes they did Fuzzy and they have deleted one thread and probably at least one other post in persuance of that stance.

Meanwhile discussion has taken place elsewhere on the internet.

I find the stance interesting as I have little doubt that discussion has taken place since Friday by way of PM's here and face to face chats between mates in various settings.

I have more interest in the censorship than in the alleged incident itself. It seems we can discuss alleged incidents involving players from elsewhere but not discuss similar when a local player is announced by UR as being associated with a legal proceeding.

It seems likely that UR were approached for a statement, prompted perhaps by public information (supplement perhaps by dogs in the street), and that they decided to go public to supporters prior to the article being published.

The matter is now in the public domain. Obviously when speculation comes into it things can be risky but nothing here has been said along the lines of "Stevie did this, Stevie did that".
