Rugby World Cup 7s - Bid
The RWC7s is looking for a host for the 2018 tournament.
It is held over 2 days, with a maximum week long interuption to daily life.
Give the cup has been hosted in small stadiums in Dubai, in HK stadium, and will next be hosted in Russia, is it worth the IRFU attempting to host it in Dublin?

We don't even have a team.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

Beautiful post, succinct, gets the message across with minimal effort.BR wrote:No

Trying to work out if the mens and weemens is now run side by side.
The Aviva would be a great host for it, and prove that world events are capable (in the run up to a potential RWC hosted by Oreland)
Easterby Out

Supporters of 7s in any shape or form should be culled like seal pups It's not rugby.

7s world cup is hardly a major event - the police &fire games or the special lympics are much bigger.Russ wrote:Trying to work out if the mens and weemens is now run side by side.

Ireland males slipped a team in here with no fanfare

If you bothered your Brennan to look they have a womens sevens programme with players centrally based and I am informed on a paid contract they were a core team but failed to remain in it for the forthcoming season but have Olympic aspirations

It also looks like they are governed by the professional management committee
